In May 2010 Manchester Creative Collective funded by Beacon MMU over 2 months, transformed a 20ft Shipping Container into a Consultation box.
This was part of the Manchester Architecture and Design Festival and Future Everything and was named 'City Conversation'.
'City Conversation' was a SpeakEasy style conversation, the starting of a city wide converation on sense of place and community and utilising public and community space. Situated in Piccadilly gardens for 4 days MCC recorded 40 conversations and 64 vox box style interviews from stakeholders and community members across the city on what they wanted to see for Manchester's outdoor space.
